  1. For whatever Reason Obamas number did not show correctly and there appears to be no way to edit a previous post.

    Here is Obamas record again:
    Barack Obama (2009-Present) = 135 Executive Orders

  2. I just looked at these tables and there are far more executive orders signed by these presindets then what is implied in this post. According to those tables Oabam has signed fewer Executive Orders then most of the otehr Presidents listed. What gives? I almost passed this along without double checking it since Alex said it on the show.

PER THE TABLES LISTED AT THE FEDERAL ARCHIVE:

    Franklin D. Roosevelt (1933-1945) = 3,728 EO’s (Executive Orders)
    Harry S. Truman (1945-1953) = 896 EO’s
    Dwight D. Eisenhower (1953-1961) = 486 EO’s
    John F. Kennedy (1961-1963) = 214 EO’s
    Lyndon B. Johnson (1963-1969) = 324 EO’s
    Richard Nixon (1969-1974) = 346 EO’s
    Gerald R. Ford (1974-1977) = 169 EO’s
    Jimmy Carter (1977-1981) = 320 EO’s
    Ronald Reagan (1981-1989) = 381 EO’s
    George Bush (1989-1993) = 166 EO’s
    William J. Clinton (1993-2001) = 364 EO’s
    George W. Bush (2001-2009) = 291 EO’s
    Barack Obama (2009-Present) = !#% EO’s

Thats a FAR CRY from the numbers listed in the orginal posting.

This kind of bad information makes it really hard on those of us trying to spread the word and defend the ovement on line aginst the ever lurking debunkers. Can whomever posted this try and do a better job of fact checking/vetting next tme before you post?
