Don’t be alarmed. It’s only a drill.

It seems we’re hearing a lot of that phrase these days…..Three times so far this week with regard to military training. Ordinarily, I would write this off as routine and nothing to be concerned with but this is not ordinary training and these are not ordinary times by any means.

I spent a large portion of my life in the military and in that time, we conducted our fair share of “urban training”. However, the training we conducted consisted of road marches through the suburbs around Ft. Bragg. The worst we were ever asked to do was to conduct a road block in Spring Lake, North Carolina which my unit refused to take part in. The “training” We have witnessed in the past week should be great cause for concern regardless of the media portrayal of these exercises.

Take Miami for example. Just a few days ago, an inter-agency training exercise took place without the public being informed ahead of time. This “training” consisted of landing helicopters in parking lots adjacent to a busy highway, performing strafing runs on said highway, and basically making a lot of noise scaring a lot of citizens in the process. http://miami.cbslocal.com/2013/01/25/blackhawks-used-in-military-training-exercise-in-miami/

Why is this significant? For a number of reasons. First of all being that the public directly effected by the exercise was not informed before hand. This prompted numerous 911 calls, facebook posts, and youtube videos as a result. Secondly, there is no legitimate reason for this type of training to be conducted in the first place. The United States military does not operate anywhere in the world that even remotely resembles Miami, Florida or Houston, Texas http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=8971311 or St. Louis, Missouri for that matter. http://www.ksdk.com/comments/324989/3/Dont-be-alarmed-US-Army-training-in-North-City

Three American cities in three days. All invaded by the US military. All without warning and all for the sake of “training”. Am I the only one seeing a larger picture here? The Chinese just announced today that they have reduced their dollar holdings to levels lower than the Japanese, have increased their gold reserves by 78%, and have begun to recast that gold into one kilo bars. Why smaller bars? Because they intend to offer on the world market, a gold backed currency which will signal the death of the dollar in short order. Furthermore, we have the government making a move against the second amendment with states lining up to resist any such legislation. The icing on the cake lies in the Department of Homeland Security purchasing 1.6 billion rounds of .40 caliber and 5.56×45 ammunition as well as their current purchase request for 7,000 M-16 rifles.

I believe that these exercises are for no other purpose than to gauge public response. Since there have been no shots fired (at the invaders) as of yet, I see these “exercises” increasing in frequency over the next few weeks. My military experience tells me that this is the advance force for an invasion. “It’s just a drill” until it isn’t. By then, it’s too late.
