Mannequins with spy cameras in their eyes, and facial recognition software, beam info about shoplifters directly to the police. Being used in Benneton stores, made by Alamax, they cost about $5,000 each. Also, “Almax is testing technology that recognizes words to allow retailers to eavesdrop on what shoppers say about the mannequin’s attire.” There’s a non-embeddable video at the link below.
