Norway to share IP of pirates to private entities
February 12, 2013 in Uncategorized
Norway is drafting a law change that enables private law firms to demand access to the name of the customer behind an ip-address. Currently, and in the past, only police have had access to those records.
It is supposedly to catch online pirates. The law suggestion is full flaws, as anyone who knows just a little bit about how the internet works can tell you.
Both major parties (Arbeiderpartiet and Høyre) are pro the law change.
