With Syria and the Assad regime allegedly loading precursor chemicals for the deadly nerve gas sarin into aerial bombs, the beating of war drums in the Middle East reached a fevered pitch this week. DEBKAfile, citing a senior US intelligence official, reported new signs of activity at Syrian chemical weapons sites. The unnamed official vaguely stated that the signs are “in some ways similar to what [Syria has] done before” but also that they are also “doing some things that suggest they intend to use the weapons.” What ‘those things’ are the article does not say.
Nonetheless NATO and the West are engaging in military muscle-flexing and the requisite saber-rattling, the likes of which we haven’t seen since last December when the situation with Iran looked momentarily dire.
CTV News reports that “The White House and its allies are weighing military options to secure Syria’s chemical and biological weapons” as NATO “authorizes the deployment of Patriot missile batteries to the Syrian border.” Meanwhile the USS Eisenhower has arrived off the Mediterranean coast of Syria, “indicating US preparation for a potential ground intervention.” The Eisenhower, according to RT, “holds eight fighter bomber squadrons and 8,000 men.” A full fledged ground invasion could thus begin within a matter of weeks, or even days.
As the mainstream media, the neo-con pundits, and the Obama Administration incessantly parrot the narrative which is strikingly similar to what we heard in the build-up to Gulf War II, they point inevitably to President Bashar al-Assad’s ‘increasingly desperate’ state of affairs, implying that the embattled leader might just be crazy enough to use chemical and/or biological agents – an accusation Assad himself has repeatedly denied.
This isn’t to say, of course, that Assad isn’t in a dismal predicament. Look what happened to Muammar Gaddafi in the summer of 2011, when NATO and the West decided it was time for him to go. But the idea that Assad is just looking for an excuse to start nerve gassing his own people is a bit of a stretch.
A ray of the golden sunshine of reality broke through the apocalyptic storm clouds on Wednesday when the intrepid Matt Drudge tweeted:
“Obama playing up ‘WMD’ threat in Syria is bold and hysterical. Who will go to UN to show ‘evidence’ this time? Maybe one of the Rices…”
A conservative news site essentially calling out a liberal President (and his media cronies) for war-mongering. Just like in Libya, al Qaeda are among the Syrian rebels and are likely to benefit from an Assad ouster. Ironically, a video released this week shows Syrian rebels (i.e. not loyal to Assad) using deadly nerve agents on rabbits while threatening to do the same to “Syria’s pro-Assad Alawite population.” (Population, as in civilians.)
While the West, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar continue arming the Syrian opposition (that is when the WMDs aren’t coming through Egypt via Libya), dangerous weapons like Stinger Missiles continually fall into the hands of Jihadists (who themselves are often unwitting New World Order mercenaries). While it would be difficult to defend Gaddafi, Assad, or Hosni Mubarak as standup guys, none of their governments were (or are in the case of Assad) Islamist, nor were their regimes known as destabilizing forces in the Middle East.
Under Mubarak, Egypt was a stable entity that was friendly with the West and peaceable with Israel. Since the Arab Spring that began almost two years ago, however, Egypt has been anything but stable. Dressed in a Western suit, President Mohamed Morsi has grabbed Pharaoh-like powers on behalf of the Muslim Brotherhood. Presently Morsi’s “ruling party is paying gangs of thugs to sexually assault women protesting in Cairo’s Tahrir Square.” At least five Egyptians are dead this week as protesters clashed with the Morsi’s government in Cairo. Tens of thousands of Egyptians have descended up Tarhir Square in ongoing protests that have continued for more than two weeks. According to some reports there have been millions of protestors all over Egypt.
Whatever the number, Morsi actually had to evacuate the Presidential Palace as some wonder whether or not the situation could deteriorate into an all-out civil war. (See Isaiah 19.) And of course the 30-year peace treaty with Israel is certainly threatened.
While one can debate whether the Obama Administration’s foreign policy is fueled by ineptitude, outright treason, or a little of both, the clear fact is that the fruit of Obama’s Middle East policies is destabilization and radicalization. This author has not been one to uncritically parrot radical Islamic alarmism, but it must be recognized that a potential pan-Islamic Caliphate is being set up under the watch of a man in the White House who himself may be a Muslim.
Having said that, I do not dispute the fact that a nuclear, chemical, or biological device will go off some where, and probably sooner rather than later. But it is a fact and not a conspiracy theory that the globalists control the Executive Branch of the US government, the media, and the military industrial complex. The globalists have hijacked America and they are using our military to trample down the entire world while they use our media to convince us that we are the good guys acting on behalf of the greater good of humanity.
And if a chemical weapon is used in Syria, I call Bravo Sierra right now.
People will die and it will be a humanitarian nightmare of course, but it will be a part of a broader agenda to sucker the world into a clash of civilizations that has been planned for a long, long time. The dialectic of the ‘Christian’ West against the ‘Islamic’ Middle East will be used to usher in the synthesis of a tolerant and inclusive new world religion that will be the final glue that holds together the already-burgeoning New World Order.
Haven’t we done this fake WMD narrative thing already?
