Nice use of repetition, The way I read that list it goes Sterilization. state religion. fair laws and just courts, Yes. Removal of the useless opposition, Competition is a sin. Forced labor. Something fluffy and idealistic and very, very abstract. Prepare to die, cancer of the earth. Global government, woot woot.

It’s my understanding that the Guidestones were put there to be standing should catastrophe ever come to our country or world. I have to say i do think these markers represent a “Guide” rather than a pledge. It doesn’t say “depopulate” humanity to under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature – it says “Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.” (should any event leave less than 500,000,000)
What its saying is Don’t over populate to eat up all of your natural resources, as we see happening today. If i were one of the few survivors of a major earthly catastrophe, this is how i would read the inscriptions:

I think it’s pretty much saying humanity, civility and morality should be a global virtue among all peoples. I may be getting this all wrong but I once looked at these stones to be a slap in the face too….but once u get past “maintain” to mean something it doesn’t, then everything else checks out to stand for exactly what it says and everything we on this site stand for….”A Guide to an Age of Reason” (after an age of chaos which would leave these stones standing with only a few inhabitants on the earth – post Apocalypse.)
I don’t think it’s “wishing” for depopulation, an apocalypse or some catastrophe. I think it’s hoping we can rise again with better thinking should an major depopulation event ever happen so that the next age of human’s can live better than we have and keep the earth as a natural wonderment instead of a plastic encrusted ball of toxic gas.
