Just watch a Cooking program and the lady has to cook for 4 other people. It showed her with a Paved back door. She had Fruit trees in tubs, Figs as well. Long deep tubs with potatoes and Carrots, Peas growing in runners based in tubs. She could move them around so they can be in the best place for the sun. I think this could be a solution to get the Officials off you back about having your yard Paved but still have vegetables and fruits. The fruit and vegetables in the meal were grown in her garden.
