When President Trump deals with a situation he doesn’t like, he tends to lash out at the problem with insulting language and vague threats, and this is especially true when he’s angry at a woman. He routinely displays a habit of insulting them based on their feminine nature, which he clearly finds to be lesser than his own in terms of power and leadership ability. One of the most recent examples occurred when Trump went on one of his classic Twitter rants aimed at the hosts of ‘Morning Joe’, Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough.

In this tirade, Trump issued several insults to both hosts related to their comprehension and mental state, as he is prone to do with those above his own mental capacity, but he took the insults a step further by going after Brzezinski’s appearance. He specifically claimed that she was “bleeding badly from a face-lift”, which was both entirely inaccurate and completely uncalled for.

Trump tweets things like this for several reasons. The first and foremost is that his personality is most closely related to a small child throwing a tantrum when he doesn’t get his way. Second, it was meant to create a dominant dynamic by displaying sexist behavior. The underlying assumption of his insult is that cosmetic surgery is a negative thing. It’s as if Trump believes that those who seek such procedures should be ashamed of themselves, when nothing could be further from the truth.

Cosmetic surgery has improved dramatically in the recent years thanks to a steady advancement of procedural technology and useful biomaterials. Gone are the days when those who took advantage of such procedures would have to lie about their change in appearance in order to remain socially acceptable. Cosmetic surgeries are a common part of life, and there is no reason to deride those who elect to receive them.

Not only has the technology improved, but the results have gotten much more natural as well. RealSelf is a service provider of cosmetic procedures, and their Cosmos Clinic reviews have been stellar for many years. This is a prime example of how the advancement of cosmetic procedures has created an increase in the popularity of such procedures and more social acceptability for those who receive them.

Brzezinski answered by issuing a visual of her own, which included a jab at Trump’s tiny hands. It was a perfect response to a comment that had no place in civilized society. Of course, the American people have known about Trump’s views of women for a long time. He famously made comments about where they allowed him to grab them simply because he was a celebrity. Trump seems to believe that women are only meant to be seen and not heard, which means cosmetic surgery isn’t the issue, it’s Trump himself and the misogynistic rhetoric he uses. He has no issue enjoying the fruits of cosmetic procedures at his resort in Florida, but to him it is also somehow ammunition in an argument.

The very fact that Trump lashed out at a woman for even the idea that she might have received cosmetic work suggests a deep hypocrisy in the man who also obviously only cares about women for their appearance. His tweet did nothing but make him look like a fool to those who disagree with him while those who do tend to agree with him look the other way.

Of course, some of his constituents are just as sexist as he is, so they have no trouble with Trump’s language. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Trump acts the way he does. He is the product of both a different era and a highly affluent lifestyle.
