Chicago’s south side Pastor Corey Brooks has a lot of nicknames. And he’s earned every one. He’s the Rooftop Preacher, the Tent City Pastor, and the Walk-across-America Minister. But Pastor Brooks is contemplating a new title, Congressman. In an announcement earlier this week, the Rooftop Pastor confirmed he is seriously considering a run for the open Congressional seat of the scandal-plagued, former Representative, Jesse Jackson Jr.
