From Yahoo News: Epic Cat Fight In The Savannah
These are the rip-roaring scenes of a mass battle between a pride of lions which were snapped by a brave photographer from just TWENTY metres away. The spontaneous brawl in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania was caught by amateur photographer Andrew Atkinson who captured the early morning combat between the young cats just as the sun came up.
Now that’s what you call a cat fight! – These protective lionesses spring to life when a male approaches their cubs, and all hell breaks loose among the pride. The cat fight is a bitter battle between the male and female beasts, who savagely erupt into a ferocious battle in the Mara Triangle, within the heart of the Masai Mara in Kenya, Africa.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is a large game reserve in south-western Kenya, named after the Masai people the traditional tribe of the area. Its 1,500sq km are home to 500 lions in over 20 prides.
