“This I believe post” (for school)…not even scratching the surface…but it may spark a brush fire.

Two core values that I hold dearly are freedom and liberty. This I do believe. I believe that our freedom and rights are constantly, and incrementally being taken away from us. I believe that I have, over the years, seen an increase in the amount of police on the streets of the cities I have lived in. I believe that I have the freedom to drive without being photographed and ticketed by red light cameras. I believe that I have the freedom and right to know what is in my food. I believe that I have the freedom and right to legally carry whatever weapons, wherever I so choose. I believe that we have the right to know how our government is spending our money. Hypothetically, I believe that I have the right to send my child to school without them being programmed like robots to believe that everything the government does is good. This I believe. I believe that I have the right to know that fluoride is bad, and in turn, I feel I have the right to have it eliminated from all products, including water. I believe that I have the right to smoke marijuana. I believe that I should have the freedom to not be forced to buy something that I feel is harmful. I believe that I have the right to fly and not be harassed by TSA agents. If I had a home, I feel that I should have the freedom to own a personal garden in my front lawn. I believe that I have the freedom to choose what light bulb I should use. I believe I have the right to know what health practices are good and what are bad. I believe that I should not be fed the notion that I should take a vaccine. I believe that my financial freedom should not be dependant on government. I believe that we all should not be punished, because a few wealthy cannot control their own agendas.
Unfortunately, all of these rights, and more, have been tampered with, ignored, or taken away from me. I used to be a very go along to get along type person until I realized that I was being harmed by the people who wanted me to have those views. I was disconnected. I was more concerned about fiction than what was happening outside my door. Sports, celebrities, partying, trying to be cool, etc, etc, ruled my life. Once I opened my mind to reality, things became clearer. It is a harsh reality though. Using the Matrix analogy, one could call it “taking the red pill”. I am so happy that I stopped viewing the world for face value though, and began to look deeper into what reality really is. It has truly made me a happier, more complete person. Looking back, I believe that I was in a deep, deep sleep. This I believe. I believe that I am now a living person thanks to the “red pill“.
