Taking the Occam’s Razor and All-inclusive Approaches to New Testament Prophecy (The Truth about Revelation)
December 28, 2012 in Entertainment
Occam’s Razor is a principle that the hypothesIs that makes the fewest assumptions is the one to accept. Combining this principle with the approach of taking into account ALL passages pertaining to NT “end times” events, and reconciling them no matter how much the outcome might disagree with your previous notions, will yield the most accurate conclusions regarding the matter.
Watch each vid carefully. They reveal passages that 99.9+% of preachers don’t go near and can’t explain, and paint a vivid portrait of New Testament prophecy. You will find, however, a multitude of historians and other theologians that do take them into account and come to the same or similar conclusions. This is because they have less to lose – financially or otherwise.
Taking this approach to NT prophecy will make your understanding of it insanely simple, probably make you go “hmm, why didn’t I see that before”, and might even boost your faith. It did for me. Check it out:

I love this. Exegesis (or putting oneself in the authors shoes and reading the text as the author would have read it) is the most important yet the most over looked element in Bible interpretation. So many unschooled Christians fail in exegesis and consequently fail in hermeneutics. Please forgive me for using professional terminology; I only do so to demonstrate that if any one does not know these words and the role they play in bible interpretation then they should not engage in interpretation period.

no, the most important part of bible interpretation is having the gulability and the lack of moral fibre to believe that a 2000 year old stone age book written to keep the desert barbarians in line has any bearing on our life as it is now.
free yourself from the indoctrination of organised religion and realise that ‘god’ is within not without, we made him in our image to justify the worst side of our nature
