MGM changes Red Dawn to please Communist Chinese

It’s an eye-opening dose of reality to find out that MGM Studios finished filming the remake of the 1984 teen classic Red Dawn, only to edit it into a completely new movie out of fear of insulting the Communist Chinese. The original remake, which sat on the studio’s shelves for two years, had the Chinese invading and conquering America. But the producers had any reference to China photo-shopped out and replaced with North Korea.
