The musket was the military assault weapon of the time, so it is applicable that military assault weapons were used by the citizens. Is muskets specifically mention in the 2nd amendment? No. The colonists of the time had military type weapons the same type the British army had so military assault weapons were around at the time and used by the citizen.This is an argument I used to defeat the assault weapons were not around at the time, it can also be used to win the military weapons are not in the public’s hands.
