I need to bring this up because at this point after everything I have studied so far I think that this period in the Bible has been extremely overlooked by just about everyone including myself.
The Bible talks about how there will be a period of 1,000 years of peace on the planet, when the Devil will be chained for that period of time, and where he will not be able to cause any more harm in people’s lives until that amount of time is over, and where the World will get smaller in population but greater in Spirituality for the Lord.
Now this is VERY important because if people were to ask me where in the Bible’s timeline we are, I would estimate that we are somewhere right before that 1,000 years of peace takes place. The reason I believe this, is because so many people are talking about the end times being right around the corner, the mark of the beast, etc., but everyone seems to be forgetting that the end times is not supposed to come until AFTER that 1,000 year period has ended. When the Bible says that Satan will be unloosed from his chains and he will wreak havoc on the Earth for the very last time.
I personally feel that we are about to enter into that 1,000 years of peace. However, if I am studying the Bible correctly, than before that peaceful period comes upon the Earth, we will endure all kinds of major natural catastrophes that will literally shake the entire planet to it’s foundations. If that’s the case, then it appears that this is exactly what is taking place around the world right now before our very eyes.
If December 21st of this year really is the beginning point of this 1,000 years of peace, than I do believe that the Bible’s prophecies related to the Pole-Shift or when the Earth will rock to and fro like a “drunkard” might just occur around that date. If so, than that means that there will be so much devastation on the planet, that all wars will come to an end simultaneously, the love of money will grind to a halt, the Illuminati’s control via electrical methods will end, the garbage that is displayed on television will come to an end, the video games that have so many kids in trances will be eliminated, the focus on ourselves instead of each other will be shifted, the New World Order will be delayed (at least for the 1,000 year period, until infrastructure and technology returns to the point that it’s at now or is greater than ever before), and just about every other problem that the world is experiencing right now will be nearly ended completely, due to the significant decrease in the Earth’s population and the need to help each other survive.
If this is indeed the case, than that would mean that we are literally on the brink of this 1,000 year period, where we will experience a re-awakening of Christ’s followers, of Christianity as a whole, of love between neighbors, of giving instead of taking, and of Biblical principles around the planet.
So I don’t see the Pole-Shift as being a bad thing, I don’t see the Earth being shocked to it’s core as being a bad thing, I don’t see enormous natural calamities as being negative, I see it all as being positive. The people who are chosen to survive these things should have the benefit of enjoying a time of great peace compared to any other time in the Earth’s history. This is something that I look forward to rather than fear. I don’t know if I will personally live to see this 1,000 year period take place, but I do believe that it could literally be months away from happening. The beginning of it that is.
I also agree that Christianity will be the central religion and powerhouse that will emerge from the ashes of all of the different types of destruction that will take place, and I do believe that it wouldn’t and couldn’t be any other way. We may actually find ourselves for the first time in our lives, if we are able to survive to see it come to pass, living in an almost utopian world, where “peace that men long for will finally dawn”, and where Humanity will reach great accomplishments towards Love and good rather than towards hatred and Evil.
Personally, I can’t wait to see what happens on December 21st, 2012.

In Revelation 17 and 18 when the Bible mentions “Great Babylon”, what place do you think it’s referring to? Scientifically it’s unlikely anything will happen December 21st but there is a risk of major solar flares that could wipe out the electric grid during early parts of 2013 due to the solar maximum yet later that year it will become a solar minimum again for another 11 years. I wouldn’t put any faith in the Mayan calender. I suspect the events of Revelations will be drawn out. Whenever society does end up collapsing it will be a very ugly situation for who knows how long. The nuclear waste and stuff will be a big problem.

By the way if any Biblical scholars (people who know the Bible well) could please help me out here, with the 1,000 year period of peace, etc., and help understand whether or not this period is described in the Bible is foretold as happening BEFORE the end times and not after it, or during it, I would greatly appreciate it. It is my understanding that we have not experienced this time period yet, according to the Bible’s timeline, and so any information that anyone could bring forth would greatly aid in my understanding of where we are at in terms of how the events are supposed to unfold in the Bible.
